Performances

Lawrenceville Arts Center’s state-of-the-art facilities host a number of new theatre spaces for performances both big and small- major off-Broadway productions, musicals, dance recitals, school theatre performances, and more. LAC’s technical capabilities offer endless possibilities for lighting and sound design.

Aurora Theatre has been the cornerstone of the arts for the City of Lawrenceville for over 25 years. With over 850 performances, events, and educational opportunities each year, Aurora Theatre is pleased to expand its performance capacity across six performance venues at the Lawrenceville Arts Center.

MIDSUMMER JR!

Bursting with energy, this adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic A Midsummer Night’s Dream is the perfect introduction to the hilarity and excitement of the Bard. Four actors bring the story to life through puppets, live music, and silly props, igniting the imagination of even the youngest of theatre-goers as they experience the beauty of Shakespeare’s language.

IT’S ELECTRIC

Big Thinkers Science Exploration

An exciting exploration of electricity and heat for the entire family. Watch the Big Thinkers experiment with a 50,000 volt Tesla coil and enjoy hands-on demonstrations of a hair-raising electrostatic generator, an indoor lightning strike and an experiment with levitation using static electricity. Full of audience participation, this action-packed show combines learning and fun to help answer kids’ burning scientific questions while entertaining them with shocking experiments.

DANCING STARS OF GWINNETT

Gwinnett Chatt Outreach will be holding our first fundraiser at Lawrenceville Arts Center. Our celebrities will put on their dancing shoes for a ballroom dancing competition Everyone competing will be judged by a panel of well known Gwinnettians for a chance at winning a trophy.
